Ambergris Caye is split in two by "the river" and there is a swimming area on the south side of the channel called Boca del Rio. We pedaled up there with the boys to swim and test out our new snorkeling equipment. We had a great time swimming, and even saw a few interesting fish, but the really good stuff will have to wait until we get access to a boat that we can use to get to the reef.

As we were packing up, a local kid asked us if he could borrow a mask. We said "sure". Immediately, three more kids popped up and also asked for masks. They clearly enjoyed being able to see underwater.
